There’s a lot that goes into planning the perfect trip.

To help you to get on your way, I’ve listed some of my favourite travel companies, which I personally use.

You’ll also find some of my favourite, tried and tested travel accessories here, that I never travel without! I absolutely love each and every item listed! If you prefer, you can read more about some of these essential travel items on the blog.

Skyscanner searches a bunch of different airlines, including many budget carriers.
My absolute favourite feature on Skyscanner is the ability to search to "Everywhere" to get inspired and find the absolute best deals out there at the moment!

It's always a good idea to have travel insurance in case anything goes wrong on your trip. World Nomads provides travel insurance to travellers from over 140 countries! What's even better is that you can get covered even if you've already left your home country.

Accommodation Booking Sites

We've started using AirBnB more and more over the years. It often works out cheaper than hotels and has better availability in popular destinations!

Booking is such an easy booking site, with great deals on accommodation and lots of useful detail on the available options. Easily pick the best room option for you in the 'availability' section.

Actually, Expedia is great not only for accommodation. You can often get great deals if you book flights and accommodation together!

Whether you are travelling solo or with a friend/partner, Intrepid Travel is my absolute favourite tour company for those slightly more off-the-beaten-track destinations. While a little more expensive than going it alone, it gives peace of mind that everything is taken care of. Plus, you get to meet some fantastic like-minded people!

Get Your Guide is a great one-stop-shop for all your day trips! From Paris to Machu Picchu, these guys are bound to have something that meets your needs! Booking either online or on the App is super easy and you'll get detailed instructions of where to be and when, to start your tour!

We have used Hoppa as your chosen transfer operator for years now. They work closely with local companies and give you the option to share a ride or have a private transfer right to your accommodation. Saves the hassle of finding a taxi or worrying about getting ripped off in an unfamiliar country!

Save yourself loads of time with Rentalcars! They compare no less than 900 companies in 160 countries for you, and offer a best price guarantee. Unlike many comparison websites, Rentalcars search both big name brands and smaller car rental companies. Easy peasy!

Revolut Travel Card

I use Revolut almost exclusively whilst abroad, for spending and withdrawing money. It works just like a regular debit card, but without the fees. With your Revolut travel card, there are no hidden fees, just awesome exchange rates!

PRO Packing Cubes

These packing cubes make packing and unpacking on the road so much less frustrating! Rather than everything exploding out of your bag, things are contained and organised both in and out of your bag

Insulated Water Bottle

For travel to hot climates, an insulated water bottle is an absolute lifesaver to have cool water all day long. But, it also stores hot drinks, so it’s super versatile. I love mine by Balhvit, although there are many similar ones available

EastPak Carry-On

This is my go-to hand luggage! This rolling suitcase by EastPak is super nice and small but fits a surprising amount of stuff. I often just take this bag on weekend or one-week trips. I love the red colour although mine is denim blue

Waterproof Laptop Bag

Travelling with a laptop can be risky. You definitely don't want it getting damaged or wet. This laptop bag is perfect in that it protects my laptop both from liquid and bumps! It's light and adds very little bulk. Available for both 13" and 15" laptops

Kindle Paperwhite

I love to read but on the road, physical books just aren't practical. I have the Kindle Paperwhite and love it. My husband has the all new Kindle with built in light but the light is a bit sharper than the Paperwhite - it's worth paying a little extra to be kind to your eyes!

Waterproof Dry-Bag

We started off with just a 5 litre bag but later invested in a 10 litre one as well to make it a bit easier to store our camera in. They've been super handy for beach trips and boat excursions, especially around South East Asia!

Portable Powerbank

The last thing you need when you're on the road is for your phone to run out of juice. We always carry our powerbank with us so that we can charge our electronics on the go. It’s really great for long travel days or simply as a “just in case” option.

Travel Sleep Liner

If you're staying at hotels you probably won't need a travel liner. But, throughout our time in South East Asia, we were so happy we had these with us. Great for when you want something lightweight or just feel more comfortable with your own sheet.

Wet Brush-Pro

This is truly a miracle brush! When my hair was really long it always tangled after washing. But this brush just glides right through and de-tangles even the craziest hair!

Riemann P20 Sunscreen

One application is all you need for a full day's sun protection while still giving you a lovely glowing tan! It takes a little bit to get used to the thin oily liquid but it's non-greasy and super effective!

Beats Studio

Before I had these, I could never sleep on planes! But with the noise-cancelling function these over-ear headphones they are amazing not only for watching movies and listening to music!

I knew literally nothing when I started out and found Create and Go's courses to be super helpful, clear and enjoyable! There are courses for beginners as well as more experienced bloggers on anything from launching your blog to Pinterest to making money blogging!

ConvertKit

I use ConvertKit to send all my emails to my subscribers. They have a super easy to use (visual) interface, allowing you to create automated emails, embed forms and even create landing pages. Best of all, their staff are extremely friendly to deal with!
